Unbelievable this experience (return journey) cost more than a hire car.
Our guest used this service rather than hire a car so that he would not get lost??
He had been traveling since 4.30 am. It was now 5.30 pm and dark.
He had very clear instructions, written, in map form and the co-ordinates for Tournafulla village. He offered them to the driver, but the driver did not seem to want to use them.
The driver was lost and rang from our guest’s foreign mobile phone, not his own, from a nearby village, Rockchapel, to ask directions.
Half an hour later he rang from Mount Collins, again on our guest’s phone, lost again, not having followed the directions.
Half an hour later he rang again, on my guest’s phone, lost again.
I told him to go to the grotto in Mount Collins and wait, Ian would meet him and collect our guest.
He rang again to say he was at the church.
Ian does not have a mobile phone so I told him to ask someone and wait at the grotto as requested.
He followed Ian back to the house and when we checked the time of the pick up 7.30 am Saturday morning – the driver said ‘Yes OK Sunday at 6.30’.
