This book contains over fifty projects to inspire the woodcarver. Each one illustrated by sketches of the original concept, measured outline drawings, photographs, close-ups, and pictures of the finished carvings.

Unusual features or special techniques are highlighted using explanatory drawings or photographs and all projects are designed to be either copied as shown or used as a basic idea which can be modified to suit the carver's imagination.

A wide scale of carving ability and taste is catered for and the projects range from simple rosewood jewellery to more complex and intricate figures.
