'Icarus'

Icarus was the son of Daedalus who built the labyrinth for Minos of Crete.  To escape Daedalus made wings for himself and his son but Icarus flew too near the sun, melting the wax that secured his wings and fell into the sea.  The figure is based on the Diadumenos by Polycletus made in 430 BC
